Monster Lab, the new creative studio of AAI International Architecture, won a national design competition for the Chengdu Merchants Urban Planning Exhibition Hall in the New District of Tianfu. As the first exhibition hall and demonstrative project to be built in Tianfu, the project will bear witness to the new area’s progression from empty fields to an economically prosperous urban district.

Wuhan Hanyang Iron Works was founded by Zhang Zhidong in 1890, being the first and largest iron and steel gathering place in China’s modern history. After the founding of People’s Republic of China, Hanyang Iron Works was rebuilt on the site of the original Hanyang Gunpowder Factory. Wuhan Hanyang Iron Works moved to another place in 2007.

THE FIELD, Huli District, Xiamen City
The project is located at the former site of an aluminum factory in Huli District, Xiamen City. The building was originally a public bath of the factory. In 2019, the building was also partially renovated after the aluminum factory was transformed into a creative office park with multiple business forms, such as bars, basketball arena, and live-streaming space.

One Fine Day Studio & Partners has customized all sorts of furniture by using fiber glass, made the ceiling and walls with Xuan paper and built a spiral stairway of half storey height.
