Major Buildings featured on e-architect

Barcelona Pavilion
Architect Mies van der Rohe was interested in developing free flowing space and this is done using walls as planes in isolation, joined by sliding elements or glass. Thus the wall is expressed as a single element with space flowing around it.

Burj Khalifa Building
The world’s tallest building was inaugurated in 2010. The soaring tower is audacious in its engineering which faced numerous signifcant challenges.

Singapore Tower
Four individual apartment towers are vertically offset from one another and suspended from a central core. The lifted apartment towers reduce the Scotts Tower building’s footprint to a minimum.

Camp Nou Stadium
FC Barcelona’s football ground is one of the world’s greatest football venues. Following an international design competition, British architects Foster + Partners were selected as the architects for the renewal of the Nou Camp stadium.
