Key Architecture Studios in Canada, North America

post updated 13 May 2023

Canadian Architect – Architect Listings

This page contains a selection of major Canadian architects, with links to individual practice pages. We’ve selected what we feel are the key Canadian Architects, but additions are always welcome. The focus is on contemporary architects in Canada but information on traditional architecture studios is also welcome.

The most celebrated architect from the past is Arthur Erickson. Currently the most notable architecture practice is Saucier + Perrotte, though Frank Gehry is Canadian although more connected with the US where his design studio is based. Diamond and Schmitt Architects and Antoine Predock Architect are also well known outwith Canada.

AK Clinic Treatment Room in Brampton, Ontario
Our own human body reveals that beauty or health is symmetrical, balanced, and ordered. The smallest intervention project is a spatial experimentation of these values, converting a typical clinic room of an insignificant footprint into one that transcends its physical boundary and inspires a deeper sense of well-being.
