Design: Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture. A pair of landmark supertall towers for the new Yongsan International Business District in Seoul. The buildings, which include residential, “officetel” and retail elements, consist of slender, sharply angled mini-towers cantilevered around a central core. The highly contemporary design aesthetic is informed by aspects of traditional Korean culture.

With their signature total architecture approach the new shop embraces craftsmanship, and is set to be an inspirational space for the 21st century museum-goer. The first V&A shop, from 1863, was a showcase for new crafts too.
