Flia House – Modern Argentina Property
Living at home. Coming back home. Feeling at home. There’s no place like home.
These expressions are often heard, said, and felt without noticing the strength and importance of the word HOME: the magnitude the space has, the responsibility it carries, and the affection it generates.
The Flia House project does nothing but pursues the idea of turning a building into a home.
Located in Villa Carlos Paz, a hilly city in the province of Córdoba, surrounded by nature with its rivers, lake, constantly accompanied by hills that guard the urban area. Here is where our project was born, a building of residential units within a neighborhood adjacent to the city center, which keeps it away from the hustle of tourism and at the same time within an urbanized natural environment.
Structured around three blocks built around a central core that dematerializes common circulation, turning stairs and corridors simply into sidewalks, courtyards, public space, through the development of a brick metal walkway, accompanying the visual rhythm of the corridors.
The large and ventilated void becomes an element of climate control, visuals, lights and shadows, encounters, permanence and of tradition. The exterior reminds us of the interior. Spacious, well-ventilated, and illuminated spaces are achieved thanks to a balanced use of environmental resources. The materiality accompanies the site of implantation, relates to the context, and seeks to provide sensory value with textures, organic colors, imperfect and irregular forms, creating simple atmospheres that go with living at HOME.
Flia was designed thinking of conscious spaces, its details and its functionality. It is a building composed of the sum of 12 houses, with their patios, square, and parking garage. Flia is a strong concept that deals with good living, sharing, conscious dwelling, recognizing oneself with the environment, integrating with it, being part of it. We live in society sharing with others and with ourselves: we live in Flia.

Essas expressões são frequentemente ouvidas, ditas e sentidas sem notarmos a força e a importância da palavra CASA: a capacidade desse espaço, a responsabilidade que carrega e o afeto que gera. Nosso projeto consiste em transformar um edifício em uma casa.
Localizado em Villa Carlos Paz, uma cidade serrana no estado de Córdoba, cercada pela natureza com seus rios, lago e constantemente acompanhada por serras que circundam a área urbana. É aqui que nasceu nosso projeto, um complexo habitacional de unidades residenciais localizado dentro de um bairro adjacente ao centro da cidade, afastado da agitação do turismo e, ao mesmo tempo, dentro de um ambiente natural urbanizado.
Estruturado a partir de três blocos construídos em torno de um núcleo central que desmaterializa a circulação comum, transformando escadas e corredores simplesmente em calçadas, pátios, espaço público, através do desenvolvimento de uma passarela metálica de tijolos, acompanhando o ritmo visual dos corredores. O amplo e ventilado vazio se transforma em um elemento de controle climático, visuais, luz e sombras, encontros, permanência e tradição. O exterior tem o mesmo sentido que o interior. Espaços amplos, bem ventilados e iluminados, os quais são alcançados através de um uso equilibrado dos recursos do ambiente. A materialidade acompanha o local de implantação, relacionando-se com o contexto e acrescentando um valor sensorial com texturas, cores orgânicas, formas imperfeitas e irregulares, criando atmosferas simples que acompanham o habitar de uma CASA.
Flia foi projetado pensando em espaços conscientes, em seus detalhes e sua funcionalidade. É um complexo habitacional composto por 12 casas, com seus pátios, praça e garagens. Flia é um conceito forte de viver bem, de compartilhar, do habitar consciente, do reconhecimento do entorno, da integração com o mesmo e de fazer parte dele. Vivemos em sociedade, vivemos compartilhando com os outros e conosco mesmos: vivemos em Flia.
