Design: KSR Architects. To mark the start of the first ever Camden Create festival – a three day celebration of creativity in the area – local architectural practice KSR Architects has created a pop up public pavilion at the area’s famous Britannia Junction.
The colourful creation is made up of 640 fluorescent tubes, which will be held together by a lightweight theatre and stage truss system.

With a new pavilion, the guests for the Opera House in Copenhagen and other visitors to Holmen will have a place of shelter while waiting by the water bus quay.
The Opera Pavilion is located at the quay just outside the Opera House in Copenhagen. The floating pavilion can accommodate 200 waiting persons, and the pavilion can be touched at by two water busses at the same time.
Niall McLaughlin Architects wins Natural History Museum Competition
The Natural History Museum is delighted to announce that Niall McLaughlin Architects with Kim Wilkie have won the chance to re-develop its exterior grounds. The team will work with the Museum to create an innovative setting that matches the visual excellence of the world famous Waterhouse building and Darwin Centre.
David Chipperfield Architects’ ‘Veles e Vents’ building in Valencia temporarily became ‘The Paddock Club’ – the central hospitality venue for the European Grand Prix, in 2008. Built as the hospitality building for the 2007 America’s Cup, and located at the centre of the Valencia Street Circuit.

This project, which spread over four years, responded to the challenge of simplifying the building’s indoor and outdoor circulations, improving the quality of the gambling, recreational and dining areas as well as providing a thematic unity to the different designs.

The British Council will present the exhibition A Clockwork Jerusalem in the British Pavilion, responding to the theme ‘Absorbing Modernity: 1914-2014’ set for the national pavilions by director Rem Koolhaas.

To celebrate the 300th anniversary of the founding of the city of Karlsruhe in 2015, a temporary event pavilion will be erected in the city’s Schlosspark. During the festival summer, various concerts, theater performances, readings, film screenings, and exhibitions will be held in the open structure.

Shell Centre developers seek permission for Marks Barfield Designed Visitor Pavilion. Canary Wharf Group and Qatari Diar, the joint venture developers of the Shell Centre site on London’s South Bank, have submitted a planning application for a temporary visitor pavilion to support the redevelopment of the area.
