K20 Architecture introduce you to a concept that the Director of Architecture Simon Drysdale is participating in. Simon has more than 22 years’ experience in the industry of Architecture and Urban Design, these span across small boutique’s to the large multinational design studio’s.

Driven by enthusiasm, passion, and inventiveness Simon deep dives into ecological and social engagement projects that better the community. His strengths are embedded in the want and need to bringing architectural excellence and the sensitivities of the user experience together. Simon’s range of experience has resulted in a flexible and perceptive design approach, and continues to have an active role in the Master of Architecture at RMIT University.

The project ‘Brave Street’ that he has recently been working on involves coordinating presentations for some of the most engaged urban and community thinkers. ‘Brave Street’ is a neighbourhood study; a design and architectural investigation into intentional neighbouring within the environment of a typical suburban street. It is in collaboration with a diverse collective of local practitioners, thinkers and neighbours, in hope to extend Melbourne’s thinking of suburban interfaces and social environments.

The closing event is a free event that does not require bookings and will be held on Saturday the 16th of March 2019, at The Testing Grounds behind the NGV.
