The brief for Chestnut House was to transform an existing heritage listed double fronted two bedroom, inward facing house into a light filled two storey home for a young family, which can be opened up for social events and connect with the outdoors
The brief from the clients was to create a functional home for a young family, which they could grow into. There was a strong focus on a “hard edge” design with a timeless aesthetic.
Design: Matt Gibson Architecture + Design. The conceptual drive for the interior of this house is largely in response to a brief which crystallised into a need to be connected with ‘green’ space
Design: Splinter Society Architecture. ‘House In a Warehouse’ is a new dwelling in an old warehouse shell, designed to be a ‘garden oasis’. The brief asked for a highly sustainable house, executed in a clean and contemporary way with a ‘warehouse feel’, minus the clichés of industrial off-the-shelf purchases.
Design: Matt Gibson Architecture + Design. The rear addition of this narrow single fronted terrace presents as a long tall timber clad tube wrapped around the remnants of the existing boundary walls and the open plan of the ground floor interior.
Design: FGR Architects. Inspired by the essence of a home that becomes more beautiful with age, Concrete House by FGR Architects is the result of a two material palette, concrete and glass chosen for their qualities of beatification with time, sustainability, simplicity of build and integration into the building’s existing environment.

Emporium is a high-end, interconnected, urban, vertical retail environment of an extremely high standard. The retail development was required to link to the established, adjacent department stores of Myer and David Jones, as well as GPO Melbourne, The Strand Arcade and Melbourne Central.

The Victorian Coalition Government has announced the builder of a major warehousing development for the new state-of-the-art Epping Wholesale Fruit, Vegetable and Flower Market, Minister for Major Projects David Hodgett said today.
“Hansen Yuncken, an experienced Victorian-based construction company has been selected as the builder of market warehousing at Epping”.

The Australian/Swiss design team of HASSELL, Herzog and De Meuron has won the Flinders Street Station Design Competition, Premier Denis Napthine announced today.
HASSELL + Herzog & de Meuron have won the $1 million international design competition for the redevelopment of the historic Flinders Street Station in the city of Melbourne, Australia.
“The response to the People’s Choice vote has been fantastic with thousands of people providing feedback and selecting their favourite design since voting opened last Tuesday,” Dr Napthine said.
