Ciele Athletics, the technical headwear and apparel brand made for running opens its first boutique in its hometown of Montreal on Notre-Dame Street west. The new espace | MTL is the B Corp-certifiedbusiness’ flagship store. It’s ground zero for clients looking to discover running, its community, and Ciele Athletics products and experiences in a boutique setting.

As you step inside, you are greeted by a custom tile mosaic adorning the floor. The intricate pattern is inspired by the designs found on the renowned Ciele apparel, setting the tone for the entire space.

An arched wall gracefully separates the more public community area from the rest of the store, creating a sense of intrigue and inviting exploration. This adjoining community space gives anyone with an interest in movement and connection a chance to experience running and the many facets of its dynamic community through regular meet-ups and events.

Passing through the arch into the store the floor treatment changes to a herringbone parquet in white oak. The natural warmth and rich texture enhance the overall aesthetic, providing a beautiful foundation for the store’s interior design. The walls, with their bull-nosed edges, offer a seamless and refined backdrop to display the products. They have been meticulously treated with a textured lime plaster finish, adding depth and visual interest. The play of light and shadows on these textured surfaces creates a sense of dynamism, accentuating the uniqueness of the space.

Dominating one section of the store is a magnificent 12-foot-tall library bookshelf. This grand installation serves as a focal point, showcasing a wide array of Ciele hats. The hats are elegantly displayed on cork head forms, creating an artistic and interactive presentation that sparks curiosity and encourages customers to explore the collection.

Adding an element of versatility and adaptability, a large angular central island takes centre stage. The island, fragmented into multiple pieces, can be easily slid around the store to reconfigure the merchandizing allowing for more dynamic spatial arrangements, creating a sense of discovery and surprise for visitors each time they visit the store.

Throughout the entire space, meticulous attention to detail is evident. The thoughtful combination of materials, textures, and colours creates an atmosphere that seamlessly blends modernity with a touch of timeless elegance.

Ciele Athletics, la marque de vêtements et d’accessoire technique conçu pour la course à pied, ouvre sa première boutique dans sa ville natale de Montréal, sur la rue Notre-Dame Ouest. Le nouvel espace | MTL est le magasin phare de l’entreprise certifiée B Corp. C’est le point de départ pour les clients qui cherchent à découvrir la course à pied, sa communauté, les produits et l’expérience de Ciele Athletics dans un environnement de boutique.

En entrant, on est accueilli par une mosaïque de carrelage personnalisée qui orne le sol. Le motif complexe s’inspire des dessins que l’on trouve sur les célèbres vêtements Ciele et donne le ton à l’ensemble de l’espace.

Un mur vouté sépare gracieusement l’espace communautaire plus public du reste du magasin, créant un sentiment d’intrigue en invitant à l’exploration. Cet espace communautaire attenant donne à tous ceux qui s’intéressent au mouvement et à la connexion l’occasion de découvrir la course à pied et les nombreuses facettes de sa communauté dynamique grâce à des rencontres et des évènements réguliers.

En passant l’arche pour entrer dans le magasin, le sol est remplacé par un parquet à chevrons en chêne blanc. La chaleur naturelle et la texture riche rehaussent l’esthétique générale et constituent une belle base pour l’aménagement intérieur du magasin. Les murs, avec leurs coins en “bullnose”, offrent une toile de fond homogène et raffinée pour présenter les produits. Ils ont été méticuleusement traités avec un enduit à la chaux texturé, ce qui leur confère profondeur et intérêt visuel. Le jeu de lumière et d’ombres sur ces surfaces texturées crée un sentiment de dynamisme, accentuant le caractère unique de l’espace.

Une magnifique bibliothèque de 12 pieds de haut domine une section du magasin. Cette installation grandiose sert de point focal, mettant en valeur un large éventail de chapeaux Ciele. Les chapeaux sont élégamment présentés sur des supports en liège, créant une présentation artistique et interactive qui suscite la curiosité et encourage les clients à explorer la collection.

Pour ajouter un élément de polyvalence et d’adaptabilité, un grand ilot central anguleux occupe le devant de la scène. L’ilot, fragmenté en plusieurs morceaux, peut être facilement déplacé dans le magasin pour reconfigurer la marchandise, ce qui permet des arrangements spatiaux plus dynamiques, créant un sentiment de découverte et de surprise pour les visiteurs à chaque fois qu’ils se rendent dans le magasin.

Dans l’ensemble de l’espace, l’attention méticuleuse portée aux détails est évidente. La combinaison réfléchie de matériaux, de textures et de couleurs crée une atmosphère qui allie harmonieusement la modernité à une touche d’élégance intemporelle.
