Schmidt Hammer Lassen Architects is part of the winning SPARK consortium to design the new 22,310 sqm Educational Facility at the University of Applied Sciences in Utrecht. This new Dutch building will house seven institutes as well as university facilities.
Design: Zalewski Architecture Group. The houses are designed in cuboid form covered with gable roof. The use of homogeneous, synthetic composition, coloring and choice of façade materials provide modern and coherent character of the houses.

Homes for Scotland has announced the shortlist for Scotland’s premier industry awards as the organisation prepares for its largest ever celebration of the sector’s achievements.
Design: Studio Ardete, architects. The project, located on an industrial site in Panchkula, India, presented a unique problem for the architects, necessitating them to come up with an unusual solution.
Design: I Like Design Studio. The brief for the project was to enlarge school building by transforming the formerly playground and yard. The new building has 7 classrooms, bathroom, recreational area, faculty room, lunch area and playground.
First Place awarded to Yitan Sun and Jianshi Wu from the United States for the project ‘New York Horizon’. The design proposes a continuous horizontal skyscraper around the full perimeter of a sunken Central Park in Manhattan, creating 7 square miles of housing.

The house is designed in the form of a large “L’’ configuration embracing thus the garden, the swimming pool but also taking advantage of the south-west orientation of the site.

Design: Giordano Hadamik Architects. The highly isolated subterranean shelf and the efficient control and use of solar and renewable energy, reduces significantly the energy consumption of the building while obtaining a superior house comfort, bringing the building up to Passivhaus standards.
SRAM LLC, the world’s second largest manufacturer of bicycle components, has opened its new headquarters in Chicago in a space designed by global architecture and design firm Perkins+Will.
