Design: Heatherwick Studio. With its canalside location, Victorian architecture and beautiful new public squares as a backdrop, Coal Drops Yard is set to become a unique new shopping destination for London.
Design: christos pavlou architecture. The building is on one of the longest commercial streets of the country spanning 6.5km in length. It is inserted between an old existing two-storey house and a new 6th floor block of offices.
Design: Heatherwick Studio, with landscape architect Mathews Nielsen. A New York State appeals court ordered work be halted on elevated park over the Hudson River. The Chelsea riverfront project is being funded by media mogul Barry Diller and fashion designer Diane Von Furstenberg.
Design: Alexandra Fedorovat, architect. The exterior evokes the Mobius strip: it is a clear architectural shape of a white strip that flutters in the wind and forms a figure on the one hand and the infinity sign something fundamental on the other.
Architect: Mercurio Design Lab Srl. The inspiration behind the radical shape of Lambda originated from a Lamborghini Gallardo. Further refinements of this led to the formal idea of two inverted triangles which are slightly offset from one another.
Design: Park Associati. The renovation project proposes a complete revision of a building of poor architectural quality built at the beginning of the ‘80s which has become outdated in terms of both energy and distribution.
Design: Masahiko Sato, Architect. The house – at the top of a hill in Miyazaki City – focused on the natural features of the site, “wind” and “cliff”.
Design: Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP, Architects (SOM). Located at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and 14th Street, the 375,000-sqft center 16-story building reflects and reinforces the experimental nature of The New School and creates a dialogue between the campus community, the local neighborhood, and the city.

Design: Katie Paterson and Zeller & Moye. The University of Bristol has unveiled a new public artwork by artist Katie Paterson and architects Zeller & Moye. Entitled Hollow, the artwork will be permanently sited in the historic Royal Fort Gardens in Bristol.
The International A’ (A-Prime) Design Award is the world’s largest event for design, innovation and creativity, bringing together the very best designers, architects, innovators, inventors, brands, design press and institutions from all countries across the globe under the same roof.
Design: Park Associati. A new building on a site with strong potential for its strategic position in terms of access routes and its proximity to new districts under development (Citylife, Portello).
Design: Eureka. The design started off by understanding the subtle differentiation between outside and inside, as well as the basic forms of square and circles in traditional Chinese architecture.
Design: Zaha Hadid Architects. 7 residential towers, 12 semi-detached villas and integrated landscaping with recreation facilities. The towers’ petal-shaped layouts taper inwards near the ground to optimize public space.
Escobedo Solíz Studio. The architects describe this year’s construction as “neither an object nor a sculpture standing in the courtyard, but a series of simple, powerful actions that generate new and different atmospheres.”
