Sports Hall Bale : 3LHD

Bale (Valle in Italian) is a small village in Istria peninsula, Croatia with mostly agricultural population of 1000 people. The project for the new sports hall has been faced with the rich historical, cultural and social Mediterranean context. Therefore any new architectural interpolation had to have a respectful approach to the environment. The solution has been found in interpreting the traditional ways of building by new technologies.
Holburne Museum : Eric Parry
The Holburne is now fully accessible to all visitors for the first time, displays more of its collection than ever before and benefits from larger exhibition spaces. It also offers a garden café and creative learning opportunities for the local community.
MoMA Extension New York : Jean Nouvel
Architect Jean Nouvel’s bold design will rise 75 stories from the 17,000-sqft-site between 53rd and 54th streets just west of MoMA. A mix of uses is contemplated for the building including: a 50,000-sqft expansion of MoMA’s galleries (levels 2 to 5); a 100-room, seven-star hotel and 120 highest-end residential condominiums on the upper floors.
