Foro Boca
The Foro Boca concert hall in Boca del Río, is located at a prominent site where the Jamapa River and the Gulf of Mexico converge. Boca del Río and the adjoining historic port of Veracruz have long been commercially significant but have also become a strategic zone for organized crime.

As part of an ongoing collaboration with The Coca-Cola Company, Rojkind Arquitectos together with AGENT worked on the design of Foro Ciel, the physical space which will house the content for the Transformadora Ciel programs. The building emerged from a dull space – flat roof and helipad – into a productive co-working center, surrounded by green areas.

This portal, conceived through spatial design, activated by the city dwellers and the everyday stimuli of Mexico City’s life, becomes a new public piece in one of the city’s most important avenues, Paseo de la Reforma. Nescafé commissioned 8 artists(Francisco Serrano, Mario Schjetnan, Bernardo Gómez-Pimienta, Fernanda Canales, Manuel Cervantes, Alejandro Quintanilla and Alejandro Castro) to develop specific installations with the basic requirement of utilizing a maximum of 1500 metal coffee mugs.

Michel Rojkind and BIG win cultural competition in Mexico: set upon a steep hillside in Atizapan on the outskirts of Mexico’s largest metropolis will soon sit the New Tamayo Museum which will serve as a nucleus of education and culture, locally, regionally, and internationally. Named after the Oaxacan born artist Rufino Tamayo.

This Mexican building located in Queretaro’s industrial zone, is a laboratory for development of new products, packaging center and a satellite office for its product technology center located in Maryville which focuses on the development of new drinking products. While the exterior is opaque, metallic and impenetrable in appearance, the interior of these boxes painted in different colors, have an almost theatrical quality to them.
