House by a Lake in Belgium: contemporary Belgian residence – design by BBSC-Architects – lakeside property, contemporary Belgian house, architecture
Design: Studioninedots. On the tip of an island near Amsterdam lies a mysterious black box. This is the house that Studioninedots built for a young family – a house full of surprises and contrasts. A house with dynamic spatial and material qualities.
Design: FGR Architects. Inspired by the essence of a home that becomes more beautiful with age, Concrete House by FGR Architects is the result of a two material palette, concrete and glass chosen for their qualities of beatification with time, sustainability, simplicity of build and integration into the building’s existing environment.
Design: SHED Architecture & Design. Our clients wanted an economical, efficient, low-maintenance house with ground floor living areas that extend out to comfortable outdoor spaces. The social family chef wanted the kitchen to occupy a central and commanding position in the house. Two kids rooms with a shared bath and a master suite on the upper floor and mechanical, storage, and media room in the basement round out the program.
Design: Shogo Aratani Architect & Associates. This is a residential area where magnificent nature still remains. The site for the building is situated on a sloped land among natural forest. Two large trees with beautifully shaped branches (one is a camphor tree and the other a cherry tree) stand on top of the site. These trees are integrated into this residential building design.
Design: la SHED architecture. Perched on a steeply inclined surface over swamps, the single story residence slides gracefully between the trees and is only hardly visible from the street. As per the occupants’ and architect’s wishes, the house has a dual relationship with its environment; from the outside, it is camouflaged in its setting and is as discreet as possible.
Design: Anik Péloquin, architect. The environment of this former stationmaster house has radically changed in recent decades. On the west side, the railways have given way to a big park with trees that have since matured. On the east side, there is now a suspended highway that cuts through the city.
Design: KSR Architects and Folio Design. KSR Architects and Folio Design (interiors) have completed an unusual development in Hampstead, located partly under two existing conjoined houses and below their gardens
Design: Andy Martin Architects
A contemporary residential project designed by Andy Martin Architects: an ambitious redevelopment of an existing mechanics garage.
Mews 02 is a single residence set in Belsize Park; the owners, a musician and his designer wife, wanted this existing mechanics garage to be converted to a 4 level family home, with the emphasis on the entertaining areas and with the ability to create private compartments over for sleeping.
Design: Architettura Matassoni. Project for a single-family residential building, currently under construction in the hills of Arezzo. The house is built around a patio on which are opened the most important environments of the living area; the transparency of the walls allows the visual perception as an extension of interior space.
Design: Architettura Matassoni. The project was created with the intention of transforming the strong physical limitations, in a series of architectural cues; the available surface is in fact quite limited in size and characterized from a trapezoidal shape and has a possibility of building relatively limited; the building area is inserted in an urban environment characterized by a low quality and from a certain density of the buildings.
Design: Matt Gibson Architecture + Design. The brief for the renovation of this boom style double fronted Victorian home in Armadale originally called for full demolition (surprisingly – not being within a heritage overlay).
Earth, Fire, Water and Comfort – experience them all in this one of a kind ‘Diamond in the Nest.” Enter this dream-house designed by Award Winning architectural designer Amit Apel of Apel Design, Inc., through a stream fed stepping stone walkway
Design: Marcelo Sodré
In this design, contemporary style, the architect Marcelo Sodré, created a townhome with integrated around a central landscaped courtyard environment, providing privacy and keeping the modernity of the work over the years.
Design: Amit Apel Design: on entering, enjoy the welcome of bold colors and contrasting materials inviting you to cleanse your mind’s eye and explore the artful display of lines, shapes and mass integrated into a warm and liveable abode.
Main Street House in SLeschi neighborhood, by SHED Architecture & Design, takes its name from the unimproved right of way and pedestrian path that bounds its site to the north. The single family house was built for a husband and wife, both geologists, nearing retirement but actively working from home.
Fairmount Avenue Townhomes is an 18 unit, LEED Platinum certified, affordable townhouse development, design by Hefferlin + Kronenberg Architects. The buildings are designed for the Chattanooga Housing Authority and provide low income housing in the desirable North Chattanooga Neighborhood.
