Tellico Cabin Tennessee, American residence

Hefferlin + Kronenberg Architects designed a cabin on the Tellico River for a doctor and his wife. He has been fishing the Tellico since childhood and the site holds an important sentimental value to him. The banks of the river and the Tellico Valley is where the Cherokee nation gathered for important councils so the site has important historical value as well. It’s a magical place.

Delany House in Seaforth Property

Design: Jorge Hrdina Architects. The house for a family of five sits on a steep site, surrounded by eucalypts on Sydney’s Middle Harbour. From the street, a low flying roof and strong, horizontal screen reveal little of the intersecting and folding architecture that makes up the project.

Bali House – Family Residence Concept Design

Design: Dymitr Malcew. Situated on a steep slope overlooking a valley, the housing project generously integrates the plan with the surrounding environment and green space. Following a natural continuation of topography and flora and fauna, the main structure is built on two interweaving ‘ribbon’ structures, highlighting the timber and stone facade construction.

Shirokane House – Tokyo Residence

Design: MDS Co.Ltd. The small site is located in a typical Tokyo urban residential area, where houses are closely built up. A pursuit of internal spaces in this house, as a result, changes the Tokyo cityscape a little.

An area for one floor is usually desired as large as possible, in particular, in such a narrow site. For this house, the first floor area is small due to the parking space and the second floor is, instead, larger. The outer appearance is examined based on ceiling height, slant line regulations for a building shape.

The Floating House, Sustainable Design

The Floating house was designed for French developer H2ORIZON, that specialize in construction of floating structures, by Singapore-based architect Dymitr Malcew. The main goal of the project was to design a house that impacts surroundings in a most minimal way, but at the same time offers flexibility and out of the box living experience

The client had just bought this un-renovated 1910’s triplex and wanted to make the top floor his own. Inspired by his Scandinavian origins and the apartment’s characteristic Montreal construction, the architect and designer shaped the renovation using raw materials such as wood and steel, peeling away at the building’s envelope.

Contemporary Extension for Haarlem House: Renovation

Van Ommeren-Architects made the plans and supervised the renovation of a 1930’s house in Haarlem, Holland.
The design is completed with the placement of a contemporary extension. On the contours of the old extension a lightweight construction realized a healthier relationship with the garden.

DSituated on a cliffside overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, Villa Sow in Dakar, Senegal was completed in 2011, with SAOTA – Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects, the Architects and ANTONI ASSOCIATES doing the Interior Decor. The house was designed for a Senegalese businessman and his family.

The original house on this waterfront site was a double-skin brick bungalow with warren-like rooms and little connection with the foreshore.

Design: MU Architecture. “La Grange”, the new residence of the “Terrasses Cap-à-l’Aigle” development, is situated in the magnificent Charlevoix region. Its architecture highlights the rugged charm of the site while framing the breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River. Located atop a ridge and surrounded by the neighbouring forest, this large house dominates the site with its two storey height.

North London Flat Renovation in Islington

Design: Architecture For London. This project is a renovation of a small (38sqm) flat within a listed building in Islington, North London. The flat was originally a studio with a bed-sitting room and separate kitchen. The kitchen was relocated to create an open plan kitchen-diner, allowing the flat to have a separate bedroom. The works therefore enabled the fat to become a more usable 1-bed property.

Design: Rolf Ockert Design: the site is located in a heritage conservation area that is fiercely protected by Leichhardt council. Being in one of the few streets in the Inner West Sydney that are still largely original in their streetscape, any alteration or addition was bound to be somewhere between controversial and impossible.
