Design: SPARK Architects. This is a residential tower development on Victoria Island, Lagos, for client Athena Capital Investment. Ramzi Towers is situated in the heart of exclusive Victoria Island. This 18 storey building is designed to give 360 degree panoramic views to downtown Lagos and across the Gulf of Guinea to the Atlantic Ocean.
Design: The Buchan Group. Vivid Sydney festival’s first interactive sculpture feature designed by Brisbane-based architecture practice. People passing through Sydney’s CBD will lend their face to a submerged giant human head rising out of Martin Place during this year’s Vivid Sydney festival, Australia’s largest annual light festival. ‘e|MERGEnce’ is an innovative 3D light sculpture that projects viewers’ faces onto a giant head.
The original structure was exposed and the materials are shown with sincerity. The concrete, glass and steel combine a sober color palette and contrast with some pieces that give identity to the flexible space.

The Eliza Apartments by Tony Owen Partners has just been completed in Sydney. Designed to be Sydney’s most prestigious and progressive address. We sought a building to fit within the historic context of the area yet was an unmistakeably contemporary and challenging design, combining classic 20th century style with parametric design tools to create a sustainable iconic CBD landmark.

Amarin Apartment Village is located north of the city of Rovinj, surrounded by lush vegetation. Next to the existing 272 apartments, the old substandard ones were removed from the site and 190 new were built in their place. The new buildings location is partly determined by the existing pedestrian paths that continue into the new project; and by the plots gentle slope from north to south. The Village was conceived to have a high quality intimate outdoor space that accompanies each apartment as well as a comfortable interior.
Design: Studio Ricciardi Architetti. The main objectives of the project were to create an open, contemporary living space, remove the existing corridor and set up two bedrooms, each with private bathroom, a laundry room, a little studio/office and a small guest bedroom, everything in 124 m2 (1334 ft2).
The apartment design by Studio 360 is in the heart of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It is divided into living area (consisting of a large living room with kitchen and dining room) and more intimate / sleeping area (two sleeping rooms and a study room). In between these two spaces there is a service part offering two contemporary bathrooms and one utility.
Rolf Ockert Design were approached by a bachelor who had just bought a penthouse apartment in an upmarket suburb of Sydney’s East. The apartment occupied the entire top floor of a 1940’s building and had great views over Sydney harbour.

This three-storey row house was built on Passatge Marimon in the Sant Gervasi neighbourhood, with a direct view from the main thoroughfare of Avinguda Diagonal. The client wanted commercial premises on the basement floor, ground floor and mezzanine, and two floors of dwellings, with two apartments per landing.
Roominaroom – a highly sculptural refurbishment of a Limehouse (London) flat – all done with a CNC-carved kit of timber parts. It has recently won a UK Wood Award in the Small Project category. The judges praised its “beautiful curves and delicate stairs” and called it a remarkable, ingenious jewel.
Indeed, this is an excellent, creative piece of work, using the warmth and suppleness of wood to make a delightful interior.
Re-use of a former factory in Delfshaven: In the heart of bustling Delfshaven on the banks of the river Schie is an old characteristic industrial complex located which has lost a lot of its luster and vibrancy in the course of the years. The by time grown together agglomeration of characteristic buildings has become in an almost irreversible process of decline by years of vacancy and neglect.
Lajeunesse Residence. “We were hired by a young couple to do a complete renovation of a house built by the clients grandfather, now housing its third generation of the same family. They wanted to combine the two existing apartments into a single family house on two levels.”
Graftio Street Residential Complex: St Petersburg residential development, Russia, design by Architectural bureau A.Len. The main accents of facades are the glazed surfaces of overhanging parts of the building and the cascade of terraces.
Low-rise residential complex “Lake House”: the complex is formed by the cubic volumes creating difficult geometrical drawing on facades with a continuous and angular glazing.
