Tottenham Hotspur hope to be able to move into their new 58,000-capacity stadium in 2017. The new Spurs stadium building would be next to their current White Hart Lane ground, which holds only 36,000 fans. A tender for construction is due later in 2014 with building opening possible for mid-2017.

Mews 02 is a single residence set in Belsize Park; the owners, a musician and his designer wife, wanted this existing mechanics garage to be converted to a 4 level family home, with the emphasis on the entertaining areas and with the ability to create private compartments over for sleeping.
Design: make architects. The new 5 Broadgate development, currently under construction for Swiss Bank UBS, has officially ‘topped-out’. The building, which forms part of the Broadgate Estate, was designed by international architectural practice Make, and will provide 700,000 sqft of Grade ‘A’ office space over twelve floors. The new building will allow UBS to consolidate its London trading operations into one building.

HOK’s London based Commercial team today celebrated completion of 29-37 Davies Street, a mixed-use development located in the heart of London’s Mayfair. The landmark building, comprises of 28,856 sq ft of highly specified office space along with an impressive 211ft (64m) frontage that stretches along one of Mayfair’s most desirable streets, opposite the world famous Claridge’s Hotel.

The Royal College of Physicians (RCP) celebrates the 50th anniversary of its iconic headquarters in Regent’s Park, designed by Sir Denys Lasdun, coinciding with the centenary of Lasdun’s birth. To celebrate and share this fascinating architectural masterpiece with as many people as possible, the RCP is organising a programme of events and activities across the year.
Design: Architecture For London. This project is a renovation of a small (38sqm) flat within a listed building in Islington, North London. The flat was originally a studio with a bed-sitting room and separate kitchen. The kitchen was relocated to create an open plan kitchen-diner, allowing the flat to have a separate bedroom. The works therefore enabled the fat to become a more usable 1-bed property.
Design: Skanska. A new commercial building in the City of London moved a step closer to completion today with the topping out of 100 Cheapside. The 134,548sqft (12,500sqm) building is the latest addition to Skanska’s portfolio of commercial projects in the City. Due to complete in September, it will offer office accommodation over nine floors, plus retail facilities on the ground floor and basement storage.
Design: Colwyn Foulkes & Partners. Colwyn Foulkes & Partners have received planning consent from the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea for a new luxury residence on Palace Green, London W8. Conscious of the architectural quality of the neighbouring Kensington Palace, the external façade will have classical detailing and use bespoke materials.

For the first time since the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games the public will be able to make a splash in the same swimming pools as some of Great Britain’s greatest athletes. The iconic London Aquatics Centre at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park opens its doors on Saturday 1 March 2014.
