The proposal by make architects for a high quality, sustainable development will deliver the aspirations of the Mid-Croydon Masterplan and the Opportunity and Area Planning Framework on behalf of the Croydon Council Urban Regeneration Vehicle, a partnership between Croydon Council and John Laing.

Maggie’s Barts London: St Bartholomew’s Hospital

Maggie’s, the charity which provides practical, emotional and social support for people with cancer, has applied for planning permission for a new Maggie’s Centre in the grounds of St Bartholomew’s Hospital. The plans for the Centre have been designed by US architect Steven Holl.
The building design has been fully supported by English Heritage. They point to the improvements that the building will realise by revelation and restoration of key architectural features such as the building’s quoins.

Earls Court Redevelopment, London

Parts of the scheme designed by Pilbrow & Partners include the Broadway Terrace Building in what will become Earls Court Village and a prominent building entitled The Prow.
Detailed design proposals for further phases of the Earls Court Masterplan will be presented for consultation in late 2014.

The Podium in the former Olympic Park

The new visitor centre for the south part of the park and ArcelorMittal Orbit visitor attraction, includes ticketing and retail space, and flexible events space with a roof terrace providing panoramic views over the park. The opening of the hub building over the weekend means the award-winning architectural practice is the only architect to date to have delivered an Olympic venue – the Copper Box Arena – as well as a legacy venue.

One Church Square is situated on the busy Vauxhall Bridge Road, and Paul Davis + Partner’s design ingeniously exploits its quieter elevation by locating its entrance off the public square it shares with the church. This move ensures that a previously under-utilised square has been revitalised and also reinforces its connection to the church and its grounds.
