In designing the store, Universal Design Studio worked to capture the quintessentially British spirit of the brand, while making it relevant to the modern customer.
Design: make. Planning permission has been granted for the Taberner House development in the heart of Croydon. The proposal by make architects for a high quality, sustainable development will deliver the aspirations of the Mid-Croydon Masterplan and the Opportunity and Area Planning Framework on behalf of the Croydon Council Urban Regeneration Vehicle, a partnership between Croydon Council and John Laing.

Berkeley Homes has submitted plans to Tower Hamlets Council for the redevelopment of the existing South Quay Plaza site to provide a world-class, residential-led mixed-use development. In accordance with Tower Hamlet’s policy for this area, the scheme will also be delivering over 1.5 acres of high quality public realm, reinvigorating the waterfront on South Dock and creating a vibrant new destination.

Her Majesty The Queen set to officially open the new Terminal 2 on 23 June 2014
Heathrow today unveiled Slipstream, by renowned British artist Richard Wilson, which is set to become one of Britain’s most viewed public sculptures, seen by 20 million passengers a year.
Architectural practice TateHindle has secured planning permission for 35 Chancery Lane in London’s Midtown for Scottish Widows Investment Partnership with Endurance Land, SWIP’s strategic development partner.
Design: Urban Salon. In 2003, The Architecture Foundation and Igloo Regeneration launched a competition to design the affordable housing for the Bermondsey Square development. The aspiration of the competition was to tackle the lack of affordable housing in London and generate new models of the desirable home.

Maggie’s, the charity which provides practical, emotional and social support for people with cancer, has applied for planning permission for a new Maggie’s Centre in the grounds of St Bartholomew’s Hospital. The plans for the Centre have been designed by US architect Steven Holl.
The building design has been fully supported by English Heritage. They point to the improvements that the building will realise by revelation and restoration of key architectural features such as the building’s quoins.
Brent Council has resolved to grant planning consent to UNITE, the UK’s leading developer and manager of student accommodation, for a c. 220,000 sqft student accommodation scheme on Olympic Way, adjacent to Wembley Stadium

Parts of the scheme designed by Pilbrow & Partners include the Broadway Terrace Building in what will become Earls Court Village and a prominent building entitled The Prow.
Detailed design proposals for further phases of the Earls Court Masterplan will be presented for consultation in late 2014.

The new visitor centre for the south part of the park and ArcelorMittal Orbit visitor attraction, includes ticketing and retail space, and flexible events space with a roof terrace providing panoramic views over the park. The opening of the hub building over the weekend means the award-winning architectural practice is the only architect to date to have delivered an Olympic venue – the Copper Box Arena – as well as a legacy venue.
Design: Bennetts Associates. The Old Vic, one of the oldest working theatres in London, has been granted planning permission and listed building consent to restore and enhance the building
Design: Paul Davis + Partners. Paul Davis + Partners has recently completed a quality, sustainable project for keyworker housing in Pimlico that respects the adjacent grade I listed St James the Less Church.
One Church Square is situated on the busy Vauxhall Bridge Road, and Paul Davis + Partner’s design ingeniously exploits its quieter elevation by locating its entrance off the public square it shares with the church. This move ensures that a previously under-utilised square has been revitalised and also reinforces its connection to the church and its grounds.
