Design: SIMARD architecture. In the immense landscape south of Montreal, a contemporary house has been built. Like a fieldstone unveiled between the furrows of a ploughed field, a stratified monolith of slate emerges from the earth.
This project will display Lemay architects’ expertise in architectural branding, which aims to create a unique and personalized built environment by pushing ideas beyond initial expectations.
Roy-Lawrence Residence in Quebec design by Chevalier Morales Architectes outside the village of Sutton, in Quebec’s eastern townships: this residence is set in a vast estate very much impregnated with the legacy of a Swiss immigrant family that came to Canada in the 1930s.
The first new law school in Canada in 30 years opened its new home at Thompson Rivers University in Kamloops, British Columbia. The building design by Diamond Schmitt Architects revitalizes an existing campus building with an iconic two-storey addition.
Design: Bourgeois / Lechasseur architectes. This public place is located at the heart of Cap-aux-Meules, a village in the Magdalen Islands, on the ruins of a fish processing plant that was destroyed in a fire.

Design: Naturehumaine, architects. Having bought a beautiful plot of wooded land in Quebec’s Eastern Townships, the client dreamt of building a country house that would be in perfect symbiosis with its natural environment.
Design: Atelier Kastelic Buffey. Folding along the backbone of the Niagara Escarpment, this long, linear house is a delicate response to its landscape, as well as the architectural heritage of the region.

Design: +tongtong, architects. In the small historic town of Wellington, in Prince Edward County, Drake hotelier and visionary Jeff Stober enlisted design firm +tongtong under the direction of John Tong to reinvent a tired bed and breakfast and original c. 1880 foundry into an 11-room and two-suite contemporary inn.
Design: Bourgeois / Lechasseur architects. The name, Altaïr House, refers to the brightest star in the Aquila constellation. Altaïr House is located in Cap-à-l’Aigle, in the region of Charlevoix. Altaïr means “The Flying Eagle.” The building appears discrete from the street, but unfolds toward the river away from the street, as though ready to take flight.
The new Jasper Place Branch Library design reflects the Edmonton Public Library’s aspirations to create an open and memorable presence in the community.
The Squish Studio design by Saunders Architecture is just outside the small town of Tilting on the eastern end of Fogo Island, Newfoundland. Tilting is known for its strong Irish culture and its recent designation by Parks Canada as a National Cultural Landscape District of Canada.
