Modify Homes’ brief was to renovate and refresh a home that had remained largely untouched for many years—modernising finishes, improving natural light, and creating a more effortless, easy-living environment

Rockpool is a coastal retreat on Avoca Beach, NSW, Australia. Designed by Architecture Saville Isaacs for multi-generational family. The building cascades down a hillside, offering panoramic ocean views. Composed of solid forms and natural materials, the design establishes a direct relationship between interior and exterior spaces. Openings, thresholds and material continuity are carefully orchestrated to extend living areas into the surrounding landscape, allowing the building to sit lightly within its setting while maintaining a strong spatial connection to the outdoors
