The site’s prominence demanded an architectural response iconographically appropriate to the historic city fabric as well as publicly expressive of the Museum’s mission. Interlocking volumes – one opaque and enigmatic and the other translucent and open – characterize the design concept. The visual accessibility of the glass volume on the Mall conveys a generous welcome to people of all ethnicities and religions.

The Masdar Institute, devoted to researching sustainability, is the first building to be fully operational within Masdar City. The masterplan, by Foster + Partners, incorporates lessons which have evolved over centuries of traditional Arabian architecture.
The Shard London, England, UK
now the ‘Tallest Tower in UK’

The Shard is a multi-use vertical city which features high quality offices, the 5-star Shangri-La hotel with more than 200 rooms and suites that is due to open by November 2012, and 3 floors of signature restaurants. It will also feature exclusive super prime residential apartments and the top levels will consist of the capital’s highest public viewing gallery offering 360° views of the City of London.

Absolute Towers, Canada

The Absolute Towers, 2 residential towers designed by MAD topped out last Friday at 170 meters, confirming Mississauga’s new identity connecting the urban with its surrounding natural landscape. Design of the Absolute Towers, a 95.000m2 development, nicknamed the Marilyn Monroe towers, started in 2006.
