This project involved the re-erection of Pod No 4 from the BBC’s Castaway 2000 Project, produced by Lion Television Scotland. The Pods were designed in 1999 by Andrew McAvoy of Blast Architects in direct response to the BBC Castaway survival brief and the landscape of Taransay.
Fogo Island lies outside of Newfoundland, Canada and is home to a gentle, independent people who have lived for centuries between wind and waves in pursuit of fish. Fogo Islanders live in the untamed landscape of the North Atlantic.
