OPEN Architecture’s Pingshan Performing Arts Center in Shenzhen has moved another step closer to its expected completion this year. With the building envelope now fully installed, the focus has shifted to the interior fit out.
Second Home opens a new 15,000 sq ft rooftop space in its critically-acclaimed building in Spitalfields, East London, designed by Spanish architects SelgasCano. Surrounded by pools filled with aquatic plants on all sides and featuring over 800 tropical trees and plants, it extends the original building.
The renovation of the Sophia Gordon Creative & Performing Arts Center, USA, transforms a mid-century theater facility into vibrant theatrical teaching, performance, and support spaces were designed by Leers Weinzapfel Associates for a new generation of students.
Located in a 1962 World’s Fair exhibition hall, the landmarked building has transformed into a global music hub with music library, live performance spaces, DJ booths and offices. The design by SkB Architects features amenities tailored to road-weary musicians. The green room has a lounge, shower and laundry.
