Anne Thorne Architects Partnership was commissioned by Metropolitan Housing Trust to design 5 large family homes for social rent on the site of what used to be a neglected car park and hostel garden.
This school appears to have since been renamed Rivers Academy West London, which became part of the Aspirations Academies Trust in August 2013.
The houses are designed to provide a high level of amenity, with two areas of private outdoor space and high levels of natural light. The design of the houses enables both a high level of privacy to the private courtyards, and an improved aspect for sunlight
The development is built on a former industrial courtyard site once occupied by a mannequin workshop amongst a number of manufacturing and trade uses over its 120-year history.
