launch new episode
In order to promote the quality of Oporto Architecture, Building Pictures, Architect Filipa Figueira and Architect Tiago Vieira, have released the first episode of the project: “Arquitectura à Moda do Porto”.
Arquitectura à Moda do Porto Building
The aim of this project is to register, on video, significant buildings, built in the last 20 years at Oporto. These building represent the statement of the Portuguese Architects in an international context, not only by the association with the “School of Porto”, but also by a new generation of Portuguese and foreign architects.
More than just shooting the buildings separately, with cirurgic rightness, each episode is under a theme that determinate the characteristics explored in each selected building.
The motto of the first episode is a quote of the Architect Le Corbusier, “Architecture is the encounter of light in the form”. Several buildings like the Serralves Museum, the Architecture School, the subway system, the Burgo tower, Casa da Música, … in a voyeuristic attitude that strengthens the contrast between the outside darkness and the artificial light on the inside, which reveals the interior occupation.
The next episode is expected on early February.
