Emmanuel Picault, Chic By Accident

Born in France in 1968. Loves Mexico and obtained the Mexican nationality a few years ago.

Lives in Mexico City since the year 2000. Opens his first gallery “Chic by Accident” in 2001.

Collectors, antiques dealers, decorators, designers, and a private clientele share and celebrate with him a peculiar idea of taste, humor, and life. Publishes his first book “Chic By Accident The Book” in 2007, with a foreword by Philippe Starck.

The book is dedicated to his ideas, his muses, his mentors, and his places of inspiration. Receives the “Wallpaper Design Award” for Best New Bar in 2007 for his work at BAR REVES.

Publishes his second book in 2011. This volume celebrates his adventures and mischiefs commemorating 10 years of work in Mexico.

That year he opened Chic by Accident Studio and collaborated with the architect L. Godefroy. This architecture studio created private houses and public spaces in an architectural setting, in France and Mexico.
