A free seminar for architects with USA based tile expert Ryan Fasan, focussing on classic tile design reinvented for today’s projects
30th September 2014 (12:30 – 2:30 pm)
The SCIN Gallery, Morelands, 27 Old Street, London, EC1V 9HL
Tile of Spain, the voice of the Spanish tile industry, is hosting a lunchtime seminar on September 30th in Clerkenwell on the reinvention of classic ceramic tile designs. This free event will take place in the SCIN gallery (Morelands, 27 Old Street, London, EC1V 9H) and will feature a presentation by tile expert Ryan Fasan.
The combination of centuries of artisanal history, advanced technology and collaborative creative processes are redefining the design language for working with ceramic tile.
Ryan will present an in-depth trend analysis focussed on the resurgence of traditional design and craft values, reinvented in modern tile manufacture for contemporary architecture.
The event will be moderated by materials expert and founder of the SCIN Gallery, Annabelle Filer, and will include a curated product showcase demonstrating the Spanish tile industry’s expertise and innovation. The presentation will take place from 1pm to 2pm, but those wishing to enjoy a Spanish flavoured lunch should arrive at 12:30pm. Wine is kindly provided by Wines from Spain. There will also be the opportunity for informal networking after the seminar.
Places on the seminar are limited so rsvp to ([email protected]) is essential.
