Recent glass architecture of Europe and Asia, presented at INGLASS 2012
Exceptional architecture works, awarded at recent edition of international architecture competitions, will be presented by the winners at Bucharest, on the 23rd and 24th of April, at the second edition of INGLASS Architecture Expo Conference.
At INGLASS can be seen the latest glass applications from 25 European cities and Asia: black glass façades in Graz, Austria, created by GS Architecture for the Black Panther Project; the only European glass project in Sankt Petersburg, with mirrored reflecting glass made in four colors and Dolce & Gabbana Headquarters in Milan, created by Miguel Pallares-Lopez from Piuarch; Milanofiori Center in Italy, with interior gardens featuring double glazed bioclimatic greenhouses, project signed by Paolo Brescia; the invisible glass box inside the ruins of Esma Sultan Palace, an exquisite example of how to use glass in contemporary architecture, made possible by Gokhan Avcioglu; the glass that makes the façades a complex system, allowing the space of the city to sculpt the project after its characteristics, message stated by Juan Coll-Barreu with Health Department HQ project in Bilbao; Tose Proeski Memorial House in Skopje, a cultural project made of concrete and glass which was the winner of People Choice Award at World Architecture Festival in Barcelona, 2011.

In the programme: „The glass fish and the enchanted mirror” – Şerban Ţigănaş; „Liquid” – Steven Ware; „Reflections” – Willem Bruijn; „In or out” – Gustavo Diaz Garcia; „Engineering challenges regarding the architectural use of glass” – Dragoș Marcu; „MP09 – Black Panther ready to pounce” – Martin Brischnik and lots of other titles on the architecture of glass and the glass of architecture.
More than 250 architects and engineers will gather for two days at INGLASS. Among them are the winners of MIPIM Awards 2012, International Residential Property Awards 2011, Mies van der Rohe Awards 2011, The Emirates Leaf Glass Awards 2011, World Architecture Festival Barcelona 2011 and European Steel Design Awards 2011.
INGLASS organizers stand for performance and they sustain the young values in architecture. Therefor, four architecture students from București, Cluj, Iași and Timișoara are invited to hold presentations on the first day of the event, within the „Junior Opening Session”.

INGLASS is the first of a series of events with international participation organized by Order of Architects in Romania and ABplus Events in 2012. The next two are GIS, on 18 and 19 of June and RIFF on 19 and 20 of November.
INGLASS’s third edition will take place in March 2013 and will have a very special guest, Professor Wolf D. Prix from COOP HIMMELB(L)AU.
Order of Architects, the most important organization of its kind in Romania, promotes the competition, competence, creativity in the profession, it directs the efforts towards a sustainable architecture of high quality which will incorporate the latest technological solutions, an architecture that can integrate in the existing built environment respecting nature, the resources, characteristics and the cultural heritage of the communities. The Order of Architects in Romania now includes roughly 6000 members.
The ABplus Group is specialized in creating, expanding and organizing large events, such as: fairs, exhibitions, conferences, festivals. INGLASS 2012 – The latest glass representations in metal, concrete and wood structures, Bucharest, Romania
The Order of Architects in Romania and ABplus Events, along with the partners of the event invite you at INGLASS 2012 – Architecture Expo Conference, Second Edition. The event is dedicated to architects, design engineers and leaders of glass and structures field. At INGLASS will be presented recent architectural accomplishments that are awarded at international competitions for glass appliance in metal, wood and concrete structures.

Among the guests, there will be architects and structure designers, winners of 9 important awards, such as Residential Property Award 2011, The Emirates Leaf Glass Awards 2011, World Architecture Festival 2011 and European Steel Design Awards 2011. Along side these experts, there also going to be present world leaders in glass field – Saint-Gobain Glass, Guardian and AGC – and leaders in curtain walls – Permasteelisa.

Latest glass representations in Europe and Asia, presented at INGLASS 2012
Black Glass Façades in Graz, Austria, created by GS Architecture for the Black Panther Project.

Structures under the glass, with Dan Dubina and Dragos Marcu
The guests within the specialized section, Prof. dr. eng. Dan Dubina (President of the Association of Manufacturers of Metallic Constructions in Romania) and eng. Dragos Marcu, (the winner of European Steel Awards for Steel Structure 2011 granted by European Commission of Metal Buildings) will talk about the role of structures in securing the glass.
