Uniquely for Winter House there was no design brief in terms of style or area, and instead, the client issued the Architect his impressive art schedule. While it’s apparent that Art is the central focus of the plan, through a meticulous attention to detail, uninhabited connection between inside and out – what has been delivered is a beautifully crafted home.

Glenn Howells Architects and McDowell + Benedetti have emerged as the two preferred teams to develop a masterplan for the redevelopment of JCB’s Heavy Products site in Uttoxeter. An application for outline planning permission has already been submitted to East Staffordshire Borough Council for the redevelopment, which will significantly reduce heavy goods traffic in and around Uttoxeter.

Redbrook Hayes Primary School in Rugeley, Staffs, is a carefully considered response to the government’s Exemplar Schools Project. Designed by Walters and Cohen, an architectural practice with an outstanding record in delivering well-designed schools across the UK, the new school accommodates 223 pupils, as well as a nursery and local branch library for the local community.
