Reliance Worldwide Headquarters

Reliance Worldwide commissioned Biscoe Wilson Architects to design their new corporate headquarters in Brisbane, Australia. The two-storey office building has been designed to present a modern dynamic identity.

The sinuous low-e glass curtain wall bisects a pond at the entry foyer. This architectural metaphor reinforces the core function of the business: water management. A narrow floor plate and 8.5m high eaves allow good natural light penetration into all office spaces. The design also includes extensive concrete hardstand and vehicle maneuvering areas, and parking for 135 cars.

A restrained palette and clean lines define the minimalist kitchen which pairs functionality with striking sculptural form. Generous island benches in fine matt black laminate and marble-look porcelain, punctuate the open plan layout and reflect the linear monochrome feel throughout.

New Brisbane Office Building
This new architectural development offers significant public benefit through the provision of the 24/7 publicly accessible pedestrian street, an extraordinary artwork by Danie Mellor and an elevated park that aligns with the cathedral ground plane across Adelaide Street. This large scale green space adds to the identity of the sub-tropic city in a genuine and contemporary manner.
