DHM for short, is a museum in Berlin devoted to German history and defines itself as a place of enlightenment and understanding of the shared history of Germans and Europeans.
This house was designed for a client in Sydney’s inner west. The client is a concrete contractor who planned to build the house himself. As a result the house was designed to make maximum use of concrete and solid construction.
The narrowing of the street and the no-through road resulted in an initial desire to create a project that was concerned with notions of discovery and retreat.
