Luxury homebuilder Grandwood by Zorzi has been honoured with a prestigious national housing award for its latest Appealathon Home.
Sleek and chic, the stunning Floreat property was named Australian Spec Home of the Year in the 2014 HIA-CSR Australian Housing Awards at a gala dinner on the Gold Coast this month.
The judges praised the charity home’s craftsmanship and attention to detail, describing it as “an exceptional example of the modern technology age” with almost everything in the home able to be controlled via a phone app.
Set on a prime 450sqm corner block in the Perry Lakes development, the eyecatching home was designed and built by Grandwood by Zorzi in conjunction with the builder’s suppliers and trades who donated generously to the project.
David Reynolds, business development for Zorzi, said winning the high-profile national award was testament to the company’s renowned commitment to quality in everything it does.
“Whether we’re designing and building for a client or designing and building a home to raise funds for a good cause, our culture is one of uncompromising quality,” Mr Reynolds said.
The only Perth builder to have won national awards from both the HIA and Master Builders, Zorzi has been building Appealathon homes for more than 15 years.
The Perry Lakes award-winner attracted thousands of visitors through its doors, inspiring them with its striking contemporary design and cutting-edge style.
A four-bedroom, four-bathroom design offering sustainable, low-maintenance living on a compact block, the home boasts a long list of luxury features.
From the multi-level kitchen island bench and underfloor heating, to the American Oak staircase set above a water feature and the bridge-style walkway leading to the master suite, it has been designed to impress.
“This is a home that’s at the cutting edge of style,” Mr Reynolds said.
Features include an ethanol fireplace in the living room, polished plaster walls, an outdoor shower, a Mox home automation system, commercial bifolding doors, honed limestone tiles, ceiling details, shadowline cornice and spectacular floor-to-ceiling glazing. Its sustainability credentials include greywater and rainwater harvesting systems and PV cells to generate electricity.
