3XN Architects is the winner of the architectural competition for a new educational building for Mälardalen University – a university college in Eskilstuna southwest of Stockholm, Sweden.
Design: Gordon Bunshaft, redesign: HBRA Architects: following commencement ceremonies in May 2015, the Beinecke Rare Book & Manuscript Library will close its iconic building for 16 months to undergo a major renovation that will replace its climate-control systems and double its classroom space.

The living wall biofilter – an installation of tropical plants adorning office, academic, commercial and civic buildings – is a sustainable design response to create a healthy indoor environment and lower the carbon footprint.
Design: Line and Space – during discussions defining the new facility, it became clear that there were a number of contradictions in the architectural program; the desire to provide a place suitable for active discourse as well as quiet solitude; the ability to enjoy reading in natural light while at the same time offering protection from its destructive nature.
Design: Steven Holl Architects. The School of Art & Art History at the University of Iowa, which also opened in September 2006, is awarded for successfully negotiating its site at the crossing of two orthogonal paths in the campus, at a place where the city grid is interrupted by natural landscape in the form of a small lagoon and a limestone bluff.
Architect: STUDIO TWIST. The Library of Kunming University of Science and Technology is regarded as the symbolic center of the university campus.
The building form resembles stacked cubes on a plinth with bi-axial symmetry and a vertical central atrium. The central circular atrium serves as the spiritual center as well as the main vertical circulation of the library.
Bennetts Associates architects appointed by the University of Cambridge to design its new Student Services building at the New Museum Site. The project will consist of part new build and part renovation of existing listed buildings.

completed the first phase of Strasbourg School of Architecture (Ecole Nationale Supérieure
d’Architecture de Strasbourg).
Design: BDP, architects wins commission to design the International Business School in the ancient city of Suzhou which lies 80 km to the west of Shanghai. The school makes up the last building of the Xi’an Jiaotong Liverpool University (XJTLU) south campus. BDP was appointed in 2012 to masterplan the large-scale campus to provide world-class teaching, laboratory and research facilities, and has already designed five faculty buildings on the site.
