Design: Architects of Invention. The LANDSCAPE BUILDING idea was conceived as a gentle exchange; it is a terrain in itself. The building uses every aspect of its construction for navigation and art exhibition. The roof slopes are pedestrian walkways and they form a sculpture park.
Design: Hans van Heeswijk Architects. Netherlands’ biggest collection of modern realist art, housed in the former town hall of Gorssel. This building has undergone a transformation with new wings for galleries behind the existing building.
Associated architects SO – IL and Bohlin Cywinski Jackson announce the opening of their collaborative design effort at UC Davis. In keeping with the free-thinking, experimental legacy of the UC Davis School of Art, the light-filled, multi-use building is designed to further the educational mission of the museum.

Architects: KWK Promes. The proposal assumes restoration of the building’s original form and elimination of, what is deemed to be, all unnecessary additions. The new exhibition space has been placed underground to the front of the existing Gallery.
Design: REX, architects. Forming a curatorial unity with the Mies van der Rohe-designed Neue Nationalgalerie, plus new administration, art storage, café, education/art appreciation spaces, exhibition spaces, media/event space, restaurant, restoration areas, and shop.
Design: Studio Niko Kapa. Relating to both the sea and the city and in constant dialogue between them, the building bridges the city with the sea and vice-versa. Conceived as a continuation and a transition through the wide public space, the building dives into the ocean and merges with it.
Design: Zaha Hadid Architects, London. ZHA awarded first prize in the architecture competition to build this new building in Diriyah. The contest was for the 8,780m² head office of the Heritage Museum.
Architects: Bread studio. The suggested building will be located at the opposite end of the stadium on the Science Island. This will form another attraction on the island, and allow for further developments between the two anchor facilities.

For the new entrance building Kisho Kurokawa Architects & Associates made a sketch, completing the elliptical wing of the original building. This idea was developed and realized.
Design: Archohm Consults. The JPN Museum is a gateway framing the centre placed as a wedged-shaped monument with a massive arch carved out of the mass; its 9-metre height and 20-metre ambitious span are clearly attempts to push the limits of structural design and construction.

Design: LMN Architects. Initial design for an expansion and renovation to the Asian Art Museum in Seattle. As Seattle Art Museum’s original home located in the Olmsted-designed Volunteer Park, the building will get its first substantial renovation since it was completed in 1933.
