The Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital in Brighton, designed by BDP, has won the Prime Minister’s Better Public Building Award, at a ceremony in London on 8 October 2008.

The Henning Larsen Foundation arranges an international competition for architectural drawing. The possibilities of expressing yourself in drawing are greater than ever. Apart from the classical, basic tools such as paper, pencil, charcoal, pen and colour, we now have computers and programmes to design various things in two and three dimensions.
The awards scheme is widely recognised as the largest and most comprehensive of its kind in Europe. Glasgow City Council and other local authorities from around the UK work in partnership with the Trust to organise the project entries from their own areas.
