It is Grazalema mountain range the one that creates a wall to high humidity winds coming from Atlantic Ocean. Because of that, in this part of the south of Spain there is one of the highest rainfall index from Iberian peninsula.

When parts of the Matrera Castle slid into the ground in 2013 it prompted a red alert from Hispania Nostra. Officially designated as important cultural heritage, locals began to restore the structure. Now the result has caused horror among conservationists, report www.medievalhistories.com.
