Taking the 2 existing buildings as a starting point, we have created a phased commercial development with additional 6 office and hotel towers in a total of 240,000 sqm stretching along 500m.
A bookstore with a meeting place. This was the main premise of the architectural project of the bookstore Livraria Cultura at Iguatemi.
In a rare opportunity for the city of São Paulo, the isolated tower architectural model is replaced by the traditional European urban block model, with the buildings occupying its perimeter and conforming an inner courtyard with public access.

Inspired by Le Corbusier’s Domino concept, the structure is composed by horizontal slabs and pillars displaced off the facades.

The original structure was exposed and the materials are shown with sincerity. The concrete, glass and steel combine a sober color palette and contrast with some pieces that give identity to the flexible space.
