The holiday home is located near the village Geilo, a popular skiing destination in the valley Hallingdal. Ski resorts are abundant around the lodge, with a freestyle terrain park right next to the site. Out of winter season, the mountains provide excellent hiking opportunities as well as other sporting activities.

The design by Snøhetta architects calls for the creation of a completely new marine technology centre near Trondheim in the north of Norway, with an ocean basin placed in the middle of the sea

The World Ocean Space Centre building will comprise 90,100 sqm of new space with 1,000 employees and 500 students if politicians approve the most ambitious alternative, costing up to NOK 10 billion.

Rabothytta Trekker’s Cabin, Norway

Rabothytta Trekker’s Cabin

Design: Jarmund/Vigsnæs Architects. For trekkers to Norway’s glacial north, a warm and airtight welcome at the new “Rabothytta” cabin to welcome adventurers to the magnificent Okstind glacier. Commissioned by the Norwegian Trekking Association the remote ‘Rabothytta’ cabin has been built to precise specifications to withstand the harsh extremes of weather in the region. Designed to echo the natural forms of its landscape, it is part of a network of self-contained cabins and can accommodate groups of up to thirty people on a self-catering basis.

Europan Norway – Ås, Oslo

Architects Laura Alvarez and Jarrik Ouburg win second prize at Europan Norway. Ås is a municipality part of the Oslo region whose population will double in the next 25 years. Currently a couple of buildings are located on the site: the house of Norwegian artist Odd Tandberg, the villa Åsheim House and an office building.
