A partnership between Keepmoat, Capita Symonds, Together Housing Group, and Housing 21 has been appointed by Blackburn with Darwen Council as preferred bidder to develop a new 50+ living scheme at Shorey Bank in Darwen, Lancashire.

National Graphene Institute, Manchester University

Jestico + Whiles’ design for the new National Graphene Institute at The University of Manchester has been granted planning consent. The new £61m facility will be a world-leading research and incubator centre dedicated to the development of graphene.

Oldham College – Manchester Building

Oldham’s area planning committee has approved plans for the first phase of Oldham College’s capital development programme, designed by Aedas, that will see its Rochdale Road campus transformed into a 21st century learning hub. Work begins on site on 4th February.

Cancer Research Centre Manchester Building

The building will focus entirely on laboratory-based cancer research, turning laboratory discoveries into new tests and treatments for patients. Its work will be further aided by the immediate proximity of the MCRC’s partners.

Chetham’s School of Music, Manchester

The new building will comprise a 350 seat Concert Hall, a 100 seat Recital Hall, a full academic school and over a hundred music teaching and practice spaces.
