85 buildings across the UK capital have been shortlisted for an RIBA London Regional Award this year, from 215 submitted schemes – up 30 on last year’s submissions. Throughout April all shortlisted schemes will be visited by one of five London juries.

A Buddhist Retreat Centre in the countryside and a local authority’s first housing development are amongst a record seventeen buildings to win one of this year’s RIBA East Awards from the Royal Institute of British Architects, in recognition of their architectural excellence and contribution to society.
The 2017 Emerging Architect Prize has been awarded to the Brussels studios MSA/V+ for the work NAVEZ – 5 social units at the northern entrance of Brussels, a housing project that fulfills the double ambition of the local authorities.

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) Committee on the Environment (COTE) selected this year’s recipients of the Top Ten Awards, the industry’s premier program celebrating sustainable design excellence via the integration of great design and great performance.
A record 57 entries were submitted this year and eleven short-listed projects located within the Edinburgh Chapter were visited by the judging panel in early April 2017. Awards were made in five categories: Large Project; Regeneration and Conservation; Small Project, Wood and Ambassador
The competition for projects and visions in sustainable construction had 5,085 entries by authors in 121 countries. Valid entries will be examined by independent juries in five world regions.
The Royal Society of Architects in Wales (RSAW) announced today that four buildings have been shortlisted for the RSAW Welsh Architecture Awards – the first stage of the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Awards 2017.
12 shortlisted buildings include Compton Verney Chapel and Landscape Project in Warwickshire by Purcell and Jaguar Land Rover Engine Manufacturing Centre in Wolverhampton by Arup.
