Raymond Young, the Chair of Architecture and Design Scotland, today announced the appointment of the first Chief Executive of the new public body which is being established as Scotland’s national champion for good architecture and design in the built environment.

After the AGM, and Gordon Murray’s thoughtful introduction, Lewis Macdonald praised Aberdeen, for quite a while (beware politicians, they like the sound of their own voice) and said of the Scottish Parliament, “ambitious design will always cause controversy and debate”. The NCR FSG Discovery Centre Research and Development Facility in Fulton Road, Dundee has won the Colour Coated Creativity Award 2004.
