The Aspen Art Museum opened In 1979 at the renovated Holy Cross Power Plant on the banks of the Roaring Fork River. For 33 years that facility has served the mission of the organization well, fostering a program of art, dialogue, and creativity that has grown into a major cultural institution. The new building by this celebrated Japanese architect is now structurally complete.
Design: Nobuo Araki. A ‘House with Self-Standing Wall’: situated in a calm residential area of Setagaya, Tokyo, the rectangular house faces southward, with a garden at the rear. Several meters in front of the house, a concrete wall has been constructed to provide sufficient privacy to the glass-façade house, while retaining a sense of openness.
The new concept design for Al Wakrah Stadium. AECOM, in association with Zaha Hadid Architects, have developed the new, innovative design under the guidance of the Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee.
Al Wakrah – famous for its fishing and seafaring heritage – is the proposed southern-most Host City for the 2022 FIFA World Cup™.
Architect Adolfo Moran is based in Spain, a Professor at the Politechnical University of Madrid. His architectural work was selected by the Spanish Architecture Biennial. With Joaquin Moran, he received the award Gran Via Posible. Madrid in 2010. Adolfo Moran is considered one of the principal predecessors of the “Movable Architecture”
Architects: May Noradee Properties + Designs. A full interior architectural refurbishment of the basement and ground floor of a Grade II Listed building within the Conservation Area of the prestigious Covent Garden Market Square. The interior design result from an evolving design brief and collaborative effort between May Noradee Properties + Designs and Pacata’s brand designer based in Japan.
Architects: Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF). King’s Court and Carriage Hall scheme for Capital & Counties Properties PLC (Capco) has achieved planning consent from Westminster City Council. The proposed development, in the heart of the Covent Garden district, includes a new pedestrian passageway connecting Long Acre and King Street, a new public courtyard, and new retail, restaurant and residential space.
Architects Shortlist. The Vancouver Art Gallery has short-listed five architectural firms as finalists for the design of its new home in downtown Vancouver. Selected from a pool of 75 firms representing 16 countries, the finalists include Diller Scofidio + Renfro (New York), Herzog & de Meuron (Basel), KPMB Architects (Toronto), SANAA (Tokyo), and Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects (New York).

Design: CRAB Studio – Sir Peter Cook and Gavin Robotham: The Abedian School of Architecture is located on the campus designed in the 1980s by Arata Isozaki. It forms part of the Faculty of Architecture and Sustainable Design.
Design: SAMOO Architects & Engineers. The horizontal mass of the podium represents a solid foundation with double-height open lobby and public-service facilities that will welcome visitors. With transparent curtain-wall facades, activities at the podium will be projected to the street level which will be invigorated with landscape & lighting features.
Location: Nashville, Tennessee – this project comprises the renewal of the university’s original student center, a 1925 Tudor Revival building designed by Henry C. Hibbs as a World War I memorial that is now listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Bruner/Cott’s initial study developed a reuse program to take advantage of the central location of this small building while respecting its historical significance, details, and finishes.
