Sitio Eriazo is a collective whose members are theatre school graduates who recover empty, abandoned, urban spaces in the city of Valparaiso, Chile, declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2003, and put them to community use.
Design: FCBStudios. Plymouth School of Creative Arts, The Red House, is a place to develop the richness and individuality of human creativity. This all-through school, located on an inner city brownfield site and sponsored by Plymouth College of Art.
Design: Kohn Pederson Fox – KPF, Architects. This 38-storey tower is nicknamed due to its sharply faceted design. The 190m / 620ft high building will be the European headquarters for US insurance company WR Berkley.
Design: Foggo Associates Architects. Nicknamed The Can of Ham building this tower is being developed by TIAA Henderson Real Estate, and built by Mace. The small curvy skyscraper is to contain over 277,000 sqft of offices across 24 floors.
Design: Studio mk27, architects. The P house is a puzzle game. Rotating three volumes around one nucleus generated not only a particular spatial dynamic, but also different visual relations between empty and full, between the private and semiprivate areas and the view of the city.
Design: SAOTA. A flexible contemporary family residence in a spectacular but challenging location: the “site was spectacular requiring a design that could respond to a challenging slopped corner site and its aspects”.
Design: Halliday Fraser Munro Architects. Approval has been given for a 13-storey new accommodation facility at former Triple Kirks site in the heart of Aberdeen.
Design: MVRDV and COBE. The Danish Rock Museum in Roskilde is the first building of ROCKmagneten, a larger rock music district consisting of three new buildings and a refurbished factory
Design: Luciano Kruk. Against a backdrop of rugged dunes typical of the Buenos Aires coastline, with a beautiful landscape, the architects were commissioned to design a home, with a program of regular needs for a weekend house and a limited budget.
Design: SAOTA, Antoni Associates & OKHA. A holiday home for a young family, maximising the view and creating sunny wind-free outdoor living spaces,
Shelley Point is a small spur of land jutting into the Atlantic, on the northern tip of West Coast Peninsula.
Design: Lateral Office. Montrealers and visitors are invited, from December 10 to January 31, to explore Impulse, a winter installation comprising 30 giant seesaws that will transform the Place des Festivals into a vast illuminated playground, accompanied by a set of all-new video projections.
Architect: Studio Arthur Casas. The owner of this luxury house at São Conrado Beach had a very clear goal: enjoy the astounding views of Rio’s mountains and sea. The businessman was a bachelor that wished to leave his existing apartment.
Design: Lemay. Located between Thimens Boulevard and the Marcel-Laurin Park, it covers a surface area of 5,000 m² and is integrated into the site by drawing on its major elements. This isn’t a project about architecture alone: it’s also about landscape.
Design: Tony Owen Partners, Architects. A 16 storey apartment building located in the bustling heart of Sydney’s CBD: the building contains 55 luxury apartments, retail and office space.
