“MOLEWA” (Mount Lu of World Architecture) was an international architectural competition that tasked participants to propose designs for the “Flower Ocean/Huayan Township”, a development of a new urban district in Ruichang, China.

Design: Jun Murata architect, JAM. A new white louver of cedar is painted white. The surface is ‘dimly grained’ in terms of reflectivity, like metal. With sunshine angles through the day various expressions are apparent.
