The Hemingzhou Hotspring Resort & Spa is located away from the hustle and bustle in cities. The developer’s aim is to build a resort for ecological recuperating and resting the visitor’s mind and body.

Henning Larsen Architects, with SLA and Tyréns, win architecture competition for a new 25,000sqm town hall building. A glass-roofed courtyard will be the new, public gathering place of the city, with its transparent architecture.
Design: Bourgeois / Lechasseur architects. The name, Altaïr House, refers to the brightest star in the Aquila constellation. Altaïr House is located in Cap-à-l’Aigle, in the region of Charlevoix. Altaïr means “The Flying Eagle.” The building appears discrete from the street, but unfolds toward the river away from the street, as though ready to take flight.

This impressive Catalan building has circular structure with a rectangular stage area. The distinguishing feature of the building is the 17-m diameter Catalan vault over the main hall. The shallow dome’s structure is a double layer of ceramic tiles.
