Tecture’s solution for Ceres Gable House in Geelong, Victoria, Australia, was to render over the existing split face blockwork walls, creating a contrasting black colorbond extension to highlight the junction between the old and the new.
Designed by Erick van Egeraat, Dutch architecture practice ; EEA called in the receivers (in 2009) following major projects being placed on hold. Law firm De Bok Roijers Gasseling appointed after van Egeraat himself declared the practice insolvent.
Designed by STAR Architecture this project is located in an inner-city suburb of Melbourne, and provides a response to the difficulty of designing a house to a client’s brief on a small block within a cozy neighbourhood cul-de-sac.
