This new summer cottage, “built-in” into the existing mountain profile, is well adapted to the view and to the owners needs.

On 84 m2 there is space for allroom with kitchen, fire hook and five optimized sleeping rooms.
Inside oiled oak flooring is used in combination with painted surfaces. The main wall structure is built with light-wieght concrete blocks, applied with smoothed light grey plaster. Parts of the façade and windows are crafted in oiled oak. The roof is covered with sedum-moss.

The new cottage strengthens the contact with the ocean by creating an amphi which stretches from the pier with gently sloping grass leading up to grandstand stairs on the terrace, continuing up to the levels inside.
The whole shape of the terrain gives a series of different experiences of the space, both in the exterior and interior. The main focus is always the view to the ocean.

The shape of the terrain strengthens furthermore because the form of the building follows the mountain contours in the back. This gives the cottage an organic form, which culminates in a fireplace/chimney with gentle forms and a snailformed outdoor shower to the west.

The cottage is characterized by a consistently balance between gentle terrain-related forms and straight lines in the front panorama façade.
