Milan Architecture Introduction
Milan is the main city in the north of Italy. There is a wealth of contemporary architecture in the city, from the New Trade Fair to the University Luigi Bocconi.
Historic architecture includes the Santa Maria delle Grazie, decorated with Leonardo da Vinci paintings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The University Luigi Bocconi by Grafton Architects was the Mies van der Rohe Awards 2009 Finalist. The New Trade Fair at Rho-Pero by Massimiliano e Doriana Fuksas Architects is outside the city centre but well worth a visit on our Milan Architecture Tours.

The city is famous for fashion – notably Armani, Versace and Dolce & Gabbana – and football – AC Milan and Inter, so there are fashion houses and football stadiums worth visiting too on our Milan Architecture Tours.

e-architect can provide information on geographical areas and building types ahead of your architecture tour. For example if a group is interested in Italian social housing we can assist in preparing a programme ahead of their visit to Northern Italy.
