From a stately home at the beginning of the 19th century to a company building and atelier of the famous tailor Gianni Campagna at the beginning of the new millennium, Palazzo Bernasconi is a splendid example of a representative building in the heart of Milan, 5000 square meters of prestigious environments chosen by Casa Cipriani to host its new prestigious and exclusive Milan office.

In the best Milanese tradition, the building and the intensive renovation project carried out by BMS Progetti are revealed and discovered above all once the entrance threshold is crossed: in accordance with the criteria of conservation and insertion in the central and historical context of the city, the external envelope facing the Indro Montanelli public gardens and Corso Venezia has been restored and enhanced.

The main interventions concerned in particular the internal facade with a new essential and contemporary architectural element in glass and gilded aluminum, which has significantly improved the flexibility of the layout of the various floors, of the roofs with unity of language with the existing materials and volumes, to enhance the excellent panoramic position in the city center and free the historic copper roofs from machinery and additions.

VIVA. Consulting, a company specializing in acoustic engineering, followed the final and executive acoustic design, as well as the acoustic tests in progress and final. It also followed the forecast of the acoustic impact of the Hotel, that is of all its air handling systems serving it, and of the “Arrigo Bar”, the restaurant and the American bar with live music “Il Socialista “Provided therein.

In such a prestigious hotel, in the center of Milan, equipped with 11 suites and all comforts, silence cannot be missing. “The design care, the construction detail – comments the founder Ezio Rendina and C.E.O. by V.I.V.A Consulting- they went where they had ever gone. For example, we poured the same amount of water into the eaves that would occur with the heaviest rain ever observed in Milan: and we listened, in the rooms, if the rinsing was audible. We have created, with the “box in the box” technology, the SPA in the basement, the one closest to the underground metro line, in order to make the typical roar of metropolitan transit inaudible. During the construction we carried out continuous inspections to make sure that everything was done as planned.

Once the work was done, we carried out tests after tests in order to verify that nothing had escaped us. Our work started with the final design, which was followed by the executive, various acoustic tests during construction and the acoustic testing before its delivery. We took care of verifying whether the sound emissions of the hotel systems were audible to third parties or in the underlying suites. We have calculated the dynamic stiffness of the anti-vibration systems of each individual machine / plant, and we have made them tailor-made, because this is the only way to guarantee that the specific plant does not resonate the floor on which it rests. It was our care to verify that the maximum sound emissions of the three public establishments provided within it (the “Arrigo Bar” on the ground floor, the restaurant on the first floor and the American bar with live music “Il Socialista” on the last) were inaudible to the guest rooms and to any other person living near the hotel. We are proud of the results obtained. ”
