The UK’s top student accommodation provider to open its first Australian residence in 2018

Award-winning student accommodation provider, The Student Housing Company, has announced exciting international expansion plans, with its first Australian development to open in Melbourne in July 2018. Bringing the brand’s trademark quality and customer service to the Australian market comes after parent company, GSA, acquired The Student Housing Company in the UK’s largest student accommodation deal of 2016.

University Square will be the first of its kind in Melbourne and will be home to 346 students next year, offering a wide selection of beautifully furnished apartments. Located right on the doorstep of the University of Melbourne and just a 7-minute walk from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT), the development will be ideally located for students at two of the city’s largest universities. Residents will also be just minutes from the city centre and surrounding areas of North Melbourne, Carlton and Parkville, where they can enjoy the ample cafes, bars and events the bustling city of Melbourne has to offer.
